This is a version of the Wooden Kite Shield, plated with metal. Just like its cousin, it grants a +2 against trip attempts and any other special attacks that target the legs, and provides a +2 to AC for any animal the wielder is riding.
If you charge while using this shield you gain a +2 to AC until the charge is completed.
A successful critical hit on a shield bash with this shield knocks the target Prone.
