Rabies
Rabies is one of the most dangerous of all diseases. In humans it is almost always fatal - the few who survive are left with severe neurological damage.
Unlike most diseases, ability damage dealt by Rabies is never regained. All of it is permanent.
In addition to the ability damage, Rabies produces a number of extra effects. So long as the character has taken at least 1 point of Wisdom damage from the disease, the following effects occur - The character's disposition shifts to enraged in relation to all living things. They gain a bite attack, if they do not already have one, which deals 1d4 damage (no bonus from strength). Attacking like this leaves the character Open. While they may still attack in other manners, this bite becomes the preferred weapon, though as the bite may be used as a natural weapon while grappling, this will occur as well. A mammal that takes damage from this bite attack is exposed to Rabies as well, and must save to avoid getting infected.
The character cannot speak intelligibly and cannot use any intellect, willpower, intuition, or charisma-based abilities.
Only mammals may get this disease.
