Off Guard

Characters that are off guard are character that have been caught unawares. They have not declared how they wish to break up their CA, and as such have a BDB and BAB of 0. They are Flat-footed, and thus denied their dexterity to AC.
In combat, a character is off guard until his first turn when he declares his CA distribution. A character may declare his distribution at any time outside of combat, readying himself for any danger.
