Greater Weapon Devotion

Prerequisites: Weapon Focus and Weapon Devotion with selected weapon, +4 CA, proficient with selected weapon
Cost: 6 General Upgrade Points

You have forged an even greater bond with a single specific weapon.

When wielding this weapon the character gains a a +2 to CA, +1 to all attacks and +4 to damage (stacks with Weapon Focus), as well as a +8 on checks to avoid having the weapon disarmed. If the weapon itself is attacked while being wielded or carried, it gets a +6 to defense and an increased hardness of 6. If conscious and touching the weapon, you can choose to redirect any damage to yourself.

If the weapon is lost or stolen, you gain a +2 morale bonus to all checks directly related to finding or retrieving it.

In addition to these bonuses, it is recommended that the GM assign special bonuses or effects based on the weapon and its history, in light of the exceptional devotion the character has shown. This may be as simple as an increased range increment or a bonus to defense, or as elaborate as a brand new ability designed specifically for this weapon (e.g. the weapon is connected to the soul of an ancestor and can answer truthfully one question per day).

If the weapon is permanently lost or destroyed, this feat becomes useless, and it cannot be replaced.

You can gain Greater Weapon Devotion multiple times. Each time it applies to a new weapon for which you have taken the Weapon Devotion feat..
