Fist stones are so named because they are rocks about the size of a fist. Assuming you are in an area with stones, it requires 2 AP to find such a stone, and up to 3 can be held in the off hand at a time. Note that the 2 AP allows you to choose either a normal Stone (about 50-100 g) or a fist stone (up to 500 g).
Since this stone is not properly suited to flight, it takes a -4 to attack and has a range increment of only 40, which Far Shot cannot improve in any way. On the other hand, it deals 4d8 damage instead of the normal 3d8.
