Brown Bear
Brown bears are very territorial animals, with ranges that extend from 100 to 500 square miles. They are very agressive when surprised or threatened, and females will violently defend their cubs. Any contact with a brown bear is dangerous. They are omnivorous, eating berries, roots, herbs, fish, insects, and other animals. They weigh, depending on diet, anywhere from 700 to over 2,000 pounds.

Combat
Brown bears are very territorial animals, and will attack when other bears or humans threaten their range. Brown bears will very rarely run away from a fight when threatened; an injured brown bear is simply a more dangerous brown bear.
Special Abilities
Scent
The Scent ability grants brown bears the ability to sense creatures by smell within 30 feet. If the brown bear is upwind of a target, that range increases to 60 feet.
Additionally, brown bears can use the Awareness skill to detect scents from beyond the immediate range of this ability, such as for following a creature's trail, or in finding an object through smell.
