The Hit Point (HP) value is a numerical representation of the physical punishment a character can endure.

If a character's HP drops to zero, the character is Disabled.

A character with negative HP is unconscious.

A character is Dead when his HP reaches (0 - his Constitution score).

Determining Hit Points

A character's hit points are determined by adding together the following:

  1. One class hit die per character level.
  2. The character's Constitution multiplied by his level.
  3. The character's Constitution multiplied by his Athletics tier.

So, if a level 3 fast character with a 7 Constitution and two Tiers of Athletics were to compute his health, it would be 3d8 + 21 + 14. A character rolls a new hit die upon leveling up.
