There are two types of disease - Short-term and Chronic. Short-term diseases can be cured and, if they do not kill, usually go away on their own. Chronic diseases cannot be cured, though they can usually be treated.

Short-Term Diseases have three characteristics - An incubation period, a recovery period, and any number of effects.
