Blunts are a special type of arrowhead which are intended to stun and not to pierce the skin of their intended target. Quite often, they are used in hunting, but they are also good for capturing enemies alive. They do one less damage die than normal in all circumstances (so a minimum of 2 at range), and deal sublethal damage, which is still piercing.
Critical Hits with blunts do not deal extra damage but do deal lethal instead of sublethal.
