If a character is attacked by the opponent he is facing and the attack value falls within the character's [[Counter Window]], the attacked character can attempt a Counter Check that is opposed by his attackers own Counter Check.

If a character is attacked by the opponent he is facing and the attack value falls below the defender's AC + [[Counter Bonus]], the defender may choose to counter the attack as an [[Immediate Action|Immediate]] [[Action of Opportunity]].

To counter an attack, both the original attacker and the counterer roll a Counter Check. The character with the higher check wins.
