A Torch is essentially just a club which has been lit on fire.
This is the entry for a torch used as a weapon. For the torch as a tool, please see Torch.
A torch functions just like a club when unlit. When lit it has two important differences. Firstly, all lit torches deal 1d6 fire damage on a successful hit - this is nice as it bypasses armor. Secondly, for some types of torches (See Torch), a successful hit that deals any fire damage also requires the defender to make a DC 20 reflex save - failure means they are now On Fire.
