Scorpions come in many varieties, from diminutive to simply huge. They are found in a wide variety of locations, especially Rainforests and Deserts.

Combat

Scorpions will attack perceived threats. If a scorpion is overwhelmed or grievously wounded, it will attempt to flee. If there is no escape, it will fight to the death.

Special

If an opponent is hit and dealt damage by a scorpion's stinger attack, the opponent must make a DC: 18 Fortitude Save or take 1d2 points of Speed damage. In order for venom to take effect, the damage dealt must be of the same type as the base attack. Thus, if armor converts the damage dealt by the scorpion's stinger attack, the venom has no effect.
