Day Laborer

The day laborer is a peasant or townsman of no particular ability or note who is willing to do menial and simple tasks for minimum pay. Anytime you can't be farming or there are a lot of people out of work, these are plentiful. Farmers are always looking to supplement their income and there are plenty of youths and vagrants with nothing to do.

The day laborer is first or second level, probably in Strong or Tough, has average ability scores, and has skills only related to their daily existence, probably farming, fishing, or something similar. They are mostly useless except as a pair of hands and a back to carry things on. They are not exceptionally loyal or trustworthy, are not prepared for danger or combat, and will probably flee at the first sign of anything going seriously wrong.
