A sleeping character is essentially in a special type of Unconscious state, and thus Helpless. They cannot perform actions and will sleep for 6-12 hours under normal circumstances unless woken. Sleeping characters are generally Prone, though it is possible to sleep standing up.

Slapping or jostling (costs 4 AP) or wounding a sleeping character awakens them immediately. They then roll into the initiative order.

Sleeping characters may make listen checks as normal, but they take a -10 penalty, which does not stack with the normal -5 from not actively listening. On a successful check the sleeper may choose to wake up.
